Not just going to settle for any clock? Try a decorative clock, one that seems to have been designed especially for you! Decorative clocks are sometimes available at department stores. Among the most popular are wall-hanging clocks, cuckoo clocks and Grandfather clocks.

Decorative clocks for wall hanging:

You can find a wide variety of home clocks that will add a certain appeal to the décor and style of the place you live in, whether you live in an apartment, a house, a trailer, or whatever! Many people have several wall hanging decorative clocks set up in different rooms of their homes. They are not always round in shape, but they are almost never digital. These decorative clocks can be found in many different designs, shapes, colors and backgrounds. They can be made of materials ranging from plastics to wood to stainless steel etc. Many clocks classified as decorative clocks are more costly than your average clock—and can be harder to find. I have seen decorative clocks in kidney shapes, in strange Picasso-like shapes, etc. Decorative clocks with black and burgundy modern designs are especially popular decorative clocks (which are also my personal favorite), but such modern stylistic designs of decorative clocks are available in many tones and colors. Sometimes you can find the best hanging decorative clocks in stores that specialize in decorative clocks.

Kids decorative clocks:

Kids home clocks can come in plain, circular shapes, square shapes or more modern shapes, with popular designs for kids rooms, such as Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck clocks. They can add a lot of personality to your childs bedroom and they do not have to cost a lot of money. There are even digital alarm clocks designed especially for kids.

Teenagers decorative clocks:

Teenagers home clocks come in many shapes as well, and are designed especially for teenagers with the more in-style designs for that age group, for example: football designs or horses or dancers.

Grandfather clocks:

Some of the most sought after and enviable decorative clocks around are Grandfather clocks. Some are antique and some are newer, but the style of Grandfather clocks is usually about the same. Time is kept by a clock face above a long, cabinet-like base with certain, almost antiquated features.

Cuckoo Clocks:

Similar to Grandfather clocks, Cuckoo clocks are decorative clocks sometimes bought as antiques and sometimes bought new. My mother loves German cuckoo clocks, she has purchased them twice in Germany—to be shipped home in the mail stamped FRAGILE. One of them has little German dancers in their hats and lederhosen that dance around the clock, just below the clock face, as her treasured decorative clock chimes the hour.
