Monopoints & Multipoints

Q. Are your Monopoints and Multipoints UL listed?

• Yes, they are UL & CUL listed.

Q.Can I use any of the fixtures on my Monopoints?

• All of our Quick Connect fixtures will work on the Monopoints or Multipoints.

Q. Is the LM-QADP Quick Connect Adapter needed with the Monopoints or Multipoints?

• Quick Connect fixtures mount directly to the Monopoints or Multipoints, the adapter is not needed.

Q.The fixtures that I purchased have a label that states 75W max, but my Monopoint's label shows that it has a 60W transformer. How much wattage can I use?

• 50 watts is the maximum rating, however the same quick connect fixtures used on the Monorail are listed for 75 watts maximum.

Q. Do any of your Monopoints Multipoints allow mw to use a remote transformer?

• Our QMP-Ml RN-TR and QMP-MI Monopoints allow the use of a remote transformer. The Multipoints all have integral transformers.

Q. Can I dim the Monopoint and Multipoints?

• Yes, they are supplied with an integral electronic transformer, they generally can be dimmed with a standard incandescent dimmer. Where a remote transformer is used, dimming can be accomplished by utilizing a dimmer to match transformer type (e.g. low voltage magnetic dimmer with magnetic transformer).

Q. Can the Monopoint and Multipoints be wall mounted or used on a sloped ceiling?

• They are designed for flat ceiling use only.

Q. Does the QMP-MI need a junction box? If it doesn't go on a junction box, how does it mount to a ceiling or surface?

• Mounting is accomplished by a flange ring that accepts screws, and a wiring compartment with standard size knock-out is provided. Wiring compartment height is 3".

Q. Are other brands of quick connect fixtures compatible with Multi and Monopoints?

• Yes it is possible to use quick connect fixtures from others, consult factory for compatibility.

Q. Can the pendant socket sets be field shortened?

• Yes socket sets are supplied in 6 foot lengths and may be cut to a desired length, follow the detailed instructions supplied with the socket.

Q. Can sockets be ordered in longer than 6-foot lengths?

• A six-foot drop is the maximum length, a longer wire would result in significant voltage drop.

Q. One of the pendant fixtures on my 3 light Multipoint does not light, should I try it in another quick connect fitting

• No, doing that can harm the other transformers. Remove the inoperative fixture immediately. Take one of the operating units and install it in the quick connect fitting. If it works there then the problem is in the fixture, and will most likely be caused by a faulty splice connection. If the good light will not come on in that location then the transformer may have shorted out due to the previous fixture. Consult the distributor or factory for additional trouble shooting steps.
